Rule #1
The current score is displayed on the lower left side of the screen during play. At the end of the game, the player with the most cards wins the match. The winner can then choose one of the cards the opponent lost during the game. If all the cards were turned over in the game, then the winner is granted all the opponents cards. This is known as a Perfect score!
Rule #2
You can only carry up to 100 cards at a time. If you have 100 already, you will be asked to pick a card to discard, unil you drop below 100. If you hold 100 cards you cannot pick up any cards dropped by monsters after battle or discovered at certain locations. Simply put, it is best to rummage through your deck from time to time, and get rid of multiple cards you might have. Make sure to keep the best of the bunch.
Rule #3
The player has to have at least five cards selected to play. If you do not have five, then you cannot play.
Rule #4
The first turn is determined by the spin of the coin. Orange represents the computer, and blue represents you.
Rule #5
If a player places a card next to a card, and an arrow on this card points to the card's edge or corner not marked with an arrow, the player wins that card without doing battle.
Rule #6
If the arrow on a players card points to a side or corner of a laid down card that also bears an arrow, then a battle will ensue. The strength of the player's card is of importance in battle: the higher the parameter, the greater chance there is of success.
Rule #7
If the attacking card's edges touch more than one opposing card with arrows, the player then has to decide which of the card's to battle. If, however, only one of the adjacent opposing cards bears an arrow, that card is automatically chosen for the battle. Once two cards do battle, their HP are modified by the cards' relevant attack and defence properties. The cards are then compared, and the one with the most HP wins. The defeated card is taken over.
Rule #8
Once the player succeeds in taking over a card, the other cards next to it are analized. If an arrow on the card touches a card without an arrow to match it, it is also taken over.
Rule #9
If there are cards with arrows matching arrows of the cards of the opposition next to them, another battle will ensue. The rules of regular card battle also apply here. This means that the attack and defence properties of the cards are again analysed, and one or more of the opposition's remaining cards may be taken over.
