In his training in Doma Castle, Cyan was instructed in powerful Bushido. He mastered three skills before joining the party: Fang, Sky, and Tiger. He will gain more skills as his level increases.
When you choose his skill in battle, a time bar will begin to fill. As it hits each tech, a number is highlighted. When you reach the skill you want, hit the command button, and the skill will be executed.
*NOTE* Cyan's final skill, Oblivion, cannot be achieved by gaining levels. You must complete the events in Doma Castle in the World of Ruin. It is then that Cyan will gain not only Oblivion, but any other skill you did not have yet.
Dispatch
Early in the game, this is the best attack. Cyan strikes a powerful blow to a single enemy.
Retort
Cyan chooses an enemy, and waits. When the enemy attacks him, he strikes back with a powerful counter-attack.
Slice
With this tech, Cyan tries to cut the enemies HP/MP in half. This also causes continual HP reduction for the remainder of the fight. Though great when it does work, this attack rarely connects.
Quadra-Slam
Quickly running the battle field, Cyan attacks random enemies 4 times.
Empower
When low in HP/MP, Cyan can summon forth a dragon spirit to transfer an enemy's HP/MP to him. In a crisis situation, this can come in handy.
Stunner
This attack will not only damage an entire field of enemies, but those that are not destroyed have Stop cast on them.
Quadra-Slice
This is the same attack as Quadra-Slam, but more powerful.
Cleave
In a blinding flash, Cyan races through a group of enemies. Those that are struck with his sword are split in two.
