Final Fantasy VIII Magic

In Final Fantasy VIII, magic is completely different. You no longer need MP to cast spells. You simply draw spells from enemies, or draw points found throughout the world. (Refer to the boss and bestiary for spells drawn from them.)
Once you have begun to acquire a few spells, you can junction them to your stats. The amount of increase on your junctioned stat will depend on two things:
1-The amount of the spell you are junctioning
2- What spell you are junctioning to your stat.
In order to junction magic, you will need to access the Junction menu. From here, select Magic, and a screen with your stats will appear. The stats that are in white are the ones that spells can be junctioned to. Simply pick the stat you wish to have, and place the spell you want into it. It is actually really easy to do. Also, if you do not feel like going through each one, you can junction magic automatically. With the Auto-junction, the computer gives you the options: Attack, Defense, or Magic. Pick one you want, and the game will junction your magic in accordance to what you selected.
In this section, you will find the spells, and a breakdown of what their affect on stats are. This way, you can find the spell selections that best serve your needs.
Below I have what I believe to be the best set up for junctioned magic. It is also set for Status and Elemental defense. All spells used are at 100 for this junction.

Attribute Spell Attribute Spell
HP Meteor SPD Triple
STR Flare EVA Slow
VIT Regen HIT Double
MAG Demi LUCK Death
SPR Reflect
Elem Def Status Def
1 Life 1 Esuna
2 Full Life 2 Pain
3 Shell 3 Confuse
4 Ultima 4 Berserk

It should be noted that there is a hidden spell found in Final Fantasy VIII.
When you are in the final stages of fighting Ultimecia, you can draw the Apocalypse spell. This is perhaps the most powerful spell in the entire game. It is great when used against Ultimecia.
There is no stats for this spell, since you do not get a chance to junction it, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
