Final Fantasy II has many locations you will explore throughout your journey. Though you can go almost anywhere once you get the canoe, it is best to stay in the area of your current objective. Within a few steps in any direction, you can easily run into enemies you are not supposed to be fighting.

Final Fantasy II is also the first in the series to introduce that loveable Chocobo. The Chocobo Forest is actually an open spot in the forest south of Kas'ion. It is located on the map with the number 12.
