Dirge of Cerberus Memory Capsules

In the Dirge of Cerberus's main story, you might come across a small capsule-looking thing. This is a hidden memory capsule. There are 82 of these capsules hidden very well in the game.
Memory capsules are used to unlock the OMV found throughout the game. Each time you shoot a capsule, the game will save the data. When you defeat the story mode, you can then access the Event Viewer, and see the OMV's without having to play the game. Each of the over 100 OMV scenes can be unlocked by shooting the right capsule.

Chapter 1

#01 Kalm 1

Location On the rooftop with a white stone chimney. It is in the center of the area. If you stand on the northern wall and face south, you can shoot it. Unlocks "Three years later"

#02 Kalm 2

Location In the second story window of the house across from the Mako pool. Unlocks "Rosso in Edge", & "Conversation in the Shadows"

#03 Kalm 2 North

Location On the n. East side of the fountain, in the gap between the wall of the fountain. Stand on the near by barrel to get a good view of it. Unlocks "What's going on?", & "Where am I supposed to meet Reeve?"

#04 Kalm 2 North

Location Go to the barracade northwest of the fountain. After getting the information on the cardkey mission, turn around and find the scafolding high in the rooftops. The capsule is in this scafolding to the south. Unlocks "Rio", & "Dance of the dragonfly"

#05 Klam 2 North

Location At the Mako point, find the crates and barrels. You will find it beyond them. Unlocks "DGS Raid", & "Dragonfly Destroyed"

#06 Kalm 2 west

Location When you finish the conversation with the WRO member, turn to the northeast. On the rooftop, near the guard rail, you will find this one on a platform above the building. Unlocks "A Cait in Reeve's clothing", & "Return of the Dragonfly"

#07 Kalm 3 East

Location In the alley leading to the north, approach the burning fire. The cardkey is beyond the fires, near the two electrical barricades. Unlocks "Enter Shelke", & "Remodeling"

Chapter 2

#08 Kalm 3 East

Location Leap on the ledge near the Mako point. Now head to the briefcase to the south. You will find the memory capsule on the roof to the west. Unlocks "Death of the Dragonfly", & "More to come"

#09 Wasteland 2

Location You will need the Long Barrel for this one. Head to the broken bridge, and peer over the edge into the waterfall. You will find the capsule there. Unlocks "Weiss's Invocations", & "Guard Hounds"

#10 Wasteland 2

Location Across the small chasm, there is a ledge. This is where you will find the Capsule. Unlocks "Vincent on the Roof", & "Dukes of Midgar"

#11 Wasteland 2

Location There is a final memory capsule located under the Shadowfox itself. Go to the front of the truck, and look underneith to find it. Unlocks "More than I can say for the engine", & "Release the hounds"

Chapter 3

#12 Edge 3

Location This capsule can be seen from the upper platform. The memory capsule is hiding on a distant building, beyond the Mako point that you can see. Unlocks "Pegasus Riders gone tomorrow", & "A little more amusing than last time"

#13 Edge 3

Location It is in the center of the area atop the Meteor Monument. Unlocks "Leader of the pack", & "Peasus Riders here today"

#14 Edge 3

Location While taking the boy, climb the ladder to the upper walkway. Just a bit past the ladder, turn to the north and look. The capsule is on a ledge in the distance. Unlocks "Vincent and Shalua", & "One last breath"

#15 Edge 4 North side

Location Standing under the fire escape, look back to the northwest. The capsule is on top of the beams on the second floor. Unlocks "Survivor", & "A boy's plea"

#16 Edge 4 North side

Location There is a road going south to a chain link fence. The capsule is on the ground past the fence. Unlocks "DG Sniper", & "Cry of the Heavy Armored SOLDIER"

#17 Edge 4 South side

Location In the area where you shoot 14 snipers, aim for the elevated walkway. It is on the ground to the right of a large container. Unlocks "Fall of the Heavy Armored SOLDIER", & "Rosso VS Chaos"

#18 Edge 4 South side

Location This one is tricky. Open the warehouse door, and take a half step in. On the right side, in the rafters is the memory capsule. Unlocks "Friend or foe", & "Lucrecia's Grotto"

Chapter 4

#19 WRO Headquarters 1f

Location In the first floor lobby, move to the elevator. Using the Cerberus and Sniper Scope, aim at the glass window above. It will be in the left corner of the glass. Unlocks "Nightmare", & "Welcome to the WRO"

#20 WRO HQ Basement 1

Location In the northeast corner of the basement, you will find a wall with three pipes. The capsule is on the wall to the right of the pipes, near thye ceiling. Unlocks "Azul and Shelke", & "Assault on Headquarters"

#21 WRO HQ basement 1

Location Stand by the last two WRO members, and look southwest at the ceiling. You will find it on a large pipe, just under the roof. Unlocks "A request for assistance", & "Shalua's moves"

#22 WRO HQ basement 1

Location After passing the final barracade, take a few steps and turn around. On the north side of the hall, you will find the capsule on a pipe. Unlocks "Take that", & "Azul's grin"

Chapter 5

#23 Nibelheim sewers 1

Location The first is right in the entry way. Face north, and look just beyond the grate at the waters surface. Unlocks "Ten year reunion", & "Sweet dreams Shelke"

#24 Nibelheim sewers 2

Location At the Mako point, stand and look to the north. Between the two large pipes near the roof is the capsule. Unlocks "Azul returns", & "Azul defeated?"

#25 Nibelheim sewers 3

Location After the Sahagin's spring their trap, look up the shaft, and to the east. The capsule is up inside the shaft. Aim a bit under it to get it easier. Unlocks "Seperate paths", & "Sahagin sewers"

#26 Nibelheim sewers 4

Location Go inside the garage door near the elevator. Inside, the capsule is on a ledge to the right. Unlocks "Memories of Lucrecia", & "Cait falling"

#27 Shinra Mansion basement 1

Location In the room east of the library, you will find a capsule under the knocked over bookshelf. Unlocks "Solid Cait", & "The same container I saw in Kalm"

#28 Shinra Mansion basement 1

Location Where you find the DG SOLDIER perched on a set of shelves, look directly left to the roof. The capsule is inside the ceiling ventalation on the left. Unlocks "My brother...Omega...", & "The chronicles of Yore"

#29 Shinra Mansion 2nd floor

Location In the northeast corner of the second floor, jump on the small table, and look out the window. The capsule is on the ground below. Unlocks "Rosso returns", & "Black Widow"

#30 Shinra Mansion 1st floor

Location In the entrance room of the mansion, using the Hydra, look at the broken Sky Dome. It is on the edge of the shattered glass. Unlocks "The beginning of the end", & "The Jenova project"

Chapter 6

#31 Mountain pass

Location Just beyond the crashed vehicle and the fallen logs, look into the stream to the west to find this one. Unlocks "That is my sin", & "Transformation into the beast"

#32 Mountain pass

Location By the small pond in the southeast corner, the capsule is located on the rock wall on the other side. You can wade the pond for a closer shot. Unlocks "I'm so sorry", & "The one and only Yuffie Kisaragi"

#33 Mountain pass

Location Near the ladder, turn and face south. The capsule is on top of the tallest butte. Unlocks "Sisterly love", & "Shadowfox grounded"

#34 Mountain pass

Location Find the rusty looking barrels near the gun turret, on the west side of the area. Use the Hydra, and aim through the trees, and locate the capsule near the bridge support in the distance. You must aim a bit downwards to get it. Unlocks "Picnic", & "Shelke's proposition"

#35 WRO causway

Location This one is on the south side of the western tower. Go to the parked truck, and look under the left red light of the tower. Unlocks "Incoming transmission", & "Web of the Black Widow II"

#36 WRO causway

Location Standing with the WRO members, turn and face south. The capsule is under the red light of the left tower. Unlocks "Black Widow II destroyed", & "Goodbye Shalua"

#37 WRO causway

Location Leave the second corridor, and head to the east side of the bridge. Find the point where the bridge sticks out more, and look back to the south. Using the Sniper Scope, you will find the capsule on the ledge across the river. Unlocks "The end of WRO?", & "Who's fault?"

#38 WRO HQ entrance 1

Location Standing between the machinery, aim for the upper, center waterfall. The capsule is on the ledge in the falls. Unlocks "Hey!!! Over here!!!", & "Cid's fleet"

#39 WRO HQ entrance 1

Location Near the machinery on the right of the large staircase, turn, and face the WRO building. The capsule is on the roof by the search light. Unlocks "Vincent! Long time", & "Eggs for breakfast"

#40 WRO HQ

Location Stand by the debre, where the Heavy Armored SOLDIER B was at. The capsule is on top of what was one of the supports for the walkway. Unlocks "A more detailed briefing", & "You just remind me of your sister"

Chapter 8.1

#41 Train graveyard 1

Location Directly west of the WRO member cowering behind the crate, you will find the cpasule between two crates. Unlocks "And the meeting begins", & "Cloud and company"

#42 Train graveyard 2

Location After finishing off the Red Saucers, stand near the barracaded door. facing west, you will find the capsule between teh wall and the containers. Unlocks "Synoptic net dive...start", & "The cosmos"

#43 Train graveyard 2

Location After exiting the office witht eh shop inside, use the Hydra to find the capsule on the left edge of the tower the snipers were in. Unlocks "Why those conniving...!", & "Something for someone you care about"

#44 Train graveyard 2

Location Underneath the train car you can run through, you will find this capsule. It is under the center car, and you must squat down to see it. Unlocks "Just like old times", & "They attacked Wutai as well."

#45 Train graveyard 3

Location Where the first two WRO members are, turn and face the water tower. You will find the capsule under the train car that is on top of the flatbed train car. Unlocks "Number five is alive!", & "Chaos out of control"

#46 Train graveyard 3

Location On top of the tip of the tallest building, in the northern end of the area, you will find the memory capsule. Unlocks "OK dogs!", & "Tsviets in waiting"

#47 Train graveyard 3

Location Go to the wall east of the water tower. Here, use the Sniper Scope to find the capsule on the left edge of the tower. Unlocks "Yuffie and the boys", & "A present from Shelke"

#48 Train graveyard 3

Location At the northern exit of the train garage, face south. The capsule is on the catwalks above the train car. Unlocks "Attack on Midgar", & "A few klicks off target"

#49 Train graveyard 4

Location This capsule is under the train car that is on fire. Unlocks "WRO squad rendezvous", & "Just don't get in my way"

Chapter 8.2

#50 Train graveyard 6

Location At the entry point to the area, turn to the south. You will find the capsule on the rafters in the distance. Unlocks "Born in the slums", & "WRO commonder"

#51 Train graveyard 6

Location Right in front of the door to the office, croutch down, and face the de-railed train car. The capsule is between the wall and the car. Unlocks "A lone survivor", & "Fire from the sky"

#52 Midgar central tower 2

Location On the northern side of the large generator, aim for the capsule on the balcony in the southwestern area. Unlocks "Shrikes down", & "Final confrontation with Rosso"

#53 Midgar central tower 4

Location This one is tricky. Get on the elevator in the northern end of the area. Once you begin the elevator, turn around, and point the gun out. The capsule is on the third white light up. If you miss, you can continue riding the elevator until you get it. Unlocks "Why they call me the crimson", & "Rosso in the moonlight"

#54 Midgar central tower top floor

Location Enter the area where the boss fight takes place. Immediately walk to the right, and with the Hydra, Snipe the capsule on top of the metal structure in the southwestern area. (Make sure to get this before you take on Rosso) Unlocks "Visions of Lucrecia", & "Nero VS Shelke"

Chapter 9

#55 Shinra building ruins 1

Location In the main area, head over to the windows on the left side. Snipe the capsule on the floor inside these windows. Unlocks "Widows in waiting", & "Black Widow TW offline"

#56 Shinra building ruins 2

Location On the third floor of the lobby, use the Sniper to get the one across the area to the southeast. Unlocks "Call for Vincent Valentine", & "Waiting at the bottom"

#57 Shinra building ruins 6

Location Facing the machinery behind the chain fence, shoot the capsule on the floor to the right of it. Unlocks "The true Azul", & "More a beast than I"

#58 Shinra facilities, data vault

Location After taking out the Shrikes on the sky bridge, turn to the north, and snipe the memory capsule on the distant sky bridge. Unlocks "Lucrecia and Chaos", & "The door opens"

#59 Shinra facilities, research area

Location On the second elevator, after taking out the DG SOLDIERs, turn and face Northwest. The floor before the ones with the DG SOLDIERs has a memory capsule on it. Unlocks "Mako reactor from afar", & "DG Elite"

Chapter 10

#60 Deepground outer wall 1

Location When you enter this area, take a few steps and turn left. The capsule is on top of the green beam in the distance. Unlocks "The call of darkness", & "Shelke in the night"

#61 Deepground outer wall 1

Location Stand on the northeastern corner of the platform. Here you can snipe the capsule off the tallest structure in the distance. Unlocks "Grimoire and Lucrecia", & "Lucrecia's failure"

#62 DG outer wall, interior 1

Location Standing at the entrance to the area, face straight east. The capsule is on the floor in the far off distance. Unlocks "Rest in peace Doctor", & "Young sisters"

#63 DG outer wall 3

Location Go towards the exit on the western side, and face south. Crouching down, shoot the capsule on the floor through the railing. Unlocks "Forgotten tears", & "Nero and Sable"

#64 DG outer wall, interior 4

Location This capsule is high in the northeast corner of the room. It is under some rusty pipes. Unlocks "Indestructible", & "Into the oblivion"

#65 DG outer wall, interior 5

Location Step through the door, and STOP. There is a capsule right by you behind the fence to the right. (there is gunfire here, so be careful) Unlocks "Yuffie returns", & "Shelke in the laboratory"

#66 Deepground

Location Exit the monocar rail, and walk on the track to teh west. There is a capsule on the wall near the end of the station. Unlocks "Why didn't you tell me?", & "Shelke slumbers"

#67 DG ruins 1, east

Location Walk over to the western edge in the beginning area, and shoot the capsule on the roof in the distacne. Unlocks "The Dragonfly rises", & "The Dragonfly falls"

#68 DG ruins 1, east

Location Heading east from the beginning, stop half way. crouch down and shoot the capsule under the roof of the nearest house to you. Unlocks "Back together again", & "Weiss pulse"

#69 DG ruins 1, east

Location Heading north on the eastern walkway, stop about half way to the building. Turn and face the town below. There is one located on the roof all the way to the west. Unlocks "Enter Arachnero", & "Battle in the dark"

#70 DG ruins 1, east

Location Stand on the bridge to the west of the pit where you fight the Guard Hounds. You should find a capsule behind the chimney of the home to the northeast. Unlocks "A fate decided", & "Weiss reborn"

#71 DG ruins 1, east

Location Head to the barricade where the 2 Heavy Armored SOLDIER b's were, and turn to the right. The capsule is in the alley between the two buildings. Unlocks "Overpowered", & "Take control"

#72 DG ruins 1, east

Location Walk onto the debris near the large iron gate, and shoot the capsule on the other side in the water. Unlocks "Chaos awakens", & "Weiss's last breath"

#73 DG ruins 1, east

Location Climb the stairs to the bridge, and approach the railing to the north.You will find this capsule in the river, on some debris. Unlocks "We did it!", & "Omega takes form"

#74 DG ruins 2, center

Location Cross the courtyard to where it overlooks the the ruins. The capsule is to the right of the small area of light under the bridge. Unlocks "Commencing final SND", & "Take this"

Chapter 11

#75 Mako reactor zero 1

Location Near the Mako point, go to the railing, and snipe the capsule on the ring inside the reactor. Unlocks "Lucrecia's descent", & "Battle over Midgar"

#76 Mako reactor zero 3

Location After going down the ladder from the raised platform, stop and turn south. The capsule is between the large pipes, on the ground. Unlocks "Sorry about the wait", & "Invasion"

#77 Mako reactor zero 6

Location This one is behind a screen in the center of the room, where the DG SOLDIER pushed the turret into place There is no bad spot to shoot this one :D Unlocks "Through the membrane and beyond", & "Almost there"

#78 Mako reactor zero 7

Location After defeating the Bizzare Bugs, you can find the capsule above the mesh ceiling behind the pipe to the western side of the room. Unlocks "Free at last", & "To the final stage"

#79 Mako reactor zero 7

Location This one is also tricky. You must shoot it, from above, while riding the platform up. It is inside the ventilation shaft below. Unlocks "First encounter-Crystal Feelers", & "Second encounter-Omega Cocoon"

#80 Mako reactor zero 7

Location This one is directly above the briefcase in the corridor past the large piston going up and down. Unlocks "Third encounter-Omega Weiss", & "The death of Omega Weiss"

Chapter 12.1

#81 Sky over Midgar 1

Location After you drop into the tunnel, turn and look down the tunnel you cannot jump into. Snipe the capsule at the very end of this tunnel. Unlocks "A final Chaotic"

#82 Sky over Midgar 1

Location This can only be gotten after you beat the game with all three G reports. Stand near the edge of the tunnel you drop inot, and look at the floating rocks in the sky. You can snipe this capsule to the right of the right-most rock. Unlocks "G"
