Final Fantasy VI Transportation

Magitek Armor

There are only three times you will use this mode of transportation. The first is in the very beginning of the game, when you investigate the Esper in Narshe. The second time is when you are in the Imperial Base outside of Doma Castle. The final time is in Cyan's dream world, when you are trying to save him. While in This armor, you can only use the attacks it has. The only exception is with Terra. She is also able to use magic.

Chocobo's

Chocobo's once again are found as a main source of transportation. These docile birds can be rented from stables found in various towns around the world. (Though some stables are hidden on the world map) While on a Chocobo, you are not subject to random encounters. Once you dismount one, it will scurry right back to its stable.

Raft

The raft is used to get you down the Lette River from the Returner's Hideout. While with Banon, you need to protect him from the enemies lurking along the river. Otherwise it will simply send you down the rapids towards Narshe. It is only available in the World of Balance.

Ferry

The Ferry is a ship that travels between Nikeah, and South Figaro. You have no control over this ship. The Ferry is even mobile after the world gets torn apart.

Figaro Castle

Figaro castle is more than just some mechanically advanced home to the Figaro monarchy. It can submerge in the sand, and travel to Kohligen. It can be used anytime in the World of Balance, and the World of Ruin.

Blackjack

Setzer's own flying casino. After some encouragement, he agrees to take you into the Empire with it. Once you escape Vectar though, he will hand it over to you to fly.

Falcon

In the world of ruin, Setzer once again comes to the rescue with his airship: the Falcon. It belonged to Daryl, a close lady to him. When it crashed, he restored it, and placed it underground. Now he brings it back out to help in bringing peace back to the world. Once you get Falcon, it is yours to use.
